Each card shows a number, its written word, and the right number of dots. Your child places a bead on every dot until the card is full — seven dots, seven beads, seven. Digital matching. Fill each card's dots with beads so the number, the word and the quantity all line up.

Clip beads game. Move beads with the wooden tweezers or the spoon instead of fingers — much harder, and the part they compete over.

Colour classification. Sort every bead into its matching bowl. The simplest game, and the one youngest children start with.
Why it teaches better than a counting book
The number becomes a quantity
Seeing "7" next to seven beads they placed themselves is what turns a symbol into an amount. That link is the whole foundation of early maths.
The card checks the answer
A leftover bead or an empty dot shows the mistake without anyone correcting them. Self-correcting work is why Montessori materials hold attention.
Tweezers do real work
Pinching a bead and moving it without dropping it is precise practice for holding a pencil later. It also slows a fast child right down.

Questions about this set
Aren't the beads a choking risk at three?
They are small, so this is a sit-at-the-table activity with you there — not something to leave out with a younger sibling crawling around. Count the beads back into the box afterwards.
Can a three-year-old use the tweezers?
Usually not straight away — start with fingers or the spoon and bring the tweezers in later. The difficulty is the point, and it is what keeps the set useful at five.
Does it teach adding and subtracting?
The symbols are there for it, so you can lay out simple sums with beads once counting to ten is solid. It is not a workbook — you set the problems.
What if beads go missing?
There are spares for the counting, so losing one or two will not stop a card being filled. The bowls make tidying up part of the game.
Start with the colour sorting. The counting follows on its own within a week.
Safety: contains small balls and small parts — choking hazard. Not suitable for children under 3 years. Adult supervision required at all times, and beads should be collected and stored away after play.
