Tilt 'N' Shout Party Game
Party game · Ages 10+
Shout an answer and tilt. Now the ball is their problem.
Flip a category card and both sides take turns. Shout something that fits, tip the seesaw, and the metal ball starts rolling towards the other team — they have until it reaches their end to come up with an answer and send it back. Go blank, repeat something, or freeze, and it drops into your losing zone. First to win five rounds takes the game.
How to play
Flip a category. One card, one topic, and both sides answer the same one.
Shout and tilt. Say an answer, then tip the seesaw so the ball rolls away from you. The other side has until it arrives to do the same.
Dry up and you lose the round. Hesitate or repeat an answer and the ball drops into your zone. First to five rounds wins.
Why it works on a family evening
You can see the clock coming
A sand timer is easy to ignore. A metal ball rolling straight at you is not, and that little bit of panic is exactly why perfectly ordinary words suddenly vanish from everyone's head.
Everyone gets their category
With 150 cards, each person eventually lands on the topic they know inside out. The quietest player at the table gets at least one round where they cannot be stopped.
The losing side can come back
Two blocks change the seesaw's angle as the game goes on, so the further ahead a team gets, the harder it becomes. Nobody is out of it until the final round.
Two players or a whole room
Head-to-head it is a quick duel. Add people and it becomes a team game, with half the room shouting suggestions and the other half shouting that they do not count.
In the box
- 1 seesaw timer
- 1 metal ball
- 2 blocks for changing the seesaw angle
- 150 category cards
- Rules and a sticker sheet

Questions about this game
Can just two people play?
Yes — two is all it needs, and it makes a quick, tense duel. With more people you split into two teams and it gets louder.
Is it in English?
Yes, all 150 cards. Players need to name things in English quickly under pressure, which is why it suits 10 and up.
Does it need batteries?
No. The seesaw and the ball are the timer, and it comes out of the box ready to play.
How long is a game?
Around 20 minutes. First to five rounds wins, so it is short enough that the losing side always asks for a rematch.
Explain it in thirty seconds, then watch someone forget the name of a fruit they eat every day.
Safety: contains small parts, including a metal ball — choking hazard. Not suitable for children under 3 years. Keep the ball away from younger siblings during and after play.
