Rainbow Squeeze Art — Craft Kit
Craft kit · Science & craft
Squeeze, scrape once, and the picture is finished.
No brushes, no water pot, no waiting. Drop the coloured paints onto the card, pull the scraper across in one smooth movement, and the colours spread into a finished rainbow picture. Children who lose interest halfway through a painting stay with this one, because the good bit arrives in about ten seconds.
Three steps, that is the whole kit
Click. Press out the colours and place them along the top of the printed card, in any order you like.
Squeeze. Drag the scraper down in one pass. The colours stretch and blend across the whole picture at once.
Display. Leave it to dry and put it on the fridge. Every single one comes out different.
Why children finish this one
The payoff is instant
One pull of the scraper turns a row of dots into a full picture. That reveal is the reason they immediately ask to do another.
Impossible to get wrong
There is no staying inside the lines and no bad version. Whatever order the colours go in, the result looks deliberate.
Colour mixing you can watch
Where two colours meet they make a third, live, in front of them. Easier to understand in one drag than in any explanation.
Short enough for a rainy afternoon
Set up in a minute, done in a few more. A craft that fits the actual attention span rather than fighting it.
In the box
- Printed picture cards to paint

Questions about this kit
How messy is it?
Tidier than brush painting — there is no water and the paint stays on the card. Put newspaper down anyway, and keep it off good clothes and soft furnishings.
Do I need anything else?
No. The cards, the colours and the scraper are all in the box, so it can be opened and started straight away.
Can it go wrong?
Not really. Uneven pressure just makes a different pattern, which is why it suits children who get frustrated by neat colouring.
Is it a one-time activity?
Each card can only be painted once, so the box lasts as long as the cards inside it. Buy two if it is for siblings.
Do the first card with them. They will want to do the rest on their own.
Safety: craft materials — adult supervision required. Not suitable for young children who still put things in their mouths; see the pack for the recommended age. Keep paint away from eyes, mouth and clothing, and wash hands after use.
