Popcorn Pens — Puffy Heat Art Markers
Arts & crafts · Age 5+ with adult help
Draw it flat. Add heat. Watch it pop up.
Your child draws a rainbow, a heart, their own name. Then you add heat, and the lines rise off the page into puffy 3D popcorn art they can run their fingers over. The reaction the first time it puffs is the entire reason to buy these.
Three steps, start to finish
Draw. Thick lines, dots, letters, outlines — anything works. The more paint goes down, the more there is to puff.
Add heat. An adult follows the heating instructions on the pack. This takes seconds, and it is the grown-up's job.
Watch it rise. The paint swells into raised popcorn texture. Let it cool and the art stays that way.
Why children ask for these again
The payoff is instant
Most craft sets end with a picture. This one ends with something that changes in front of them — and that moment is what they tell people about.
You do it together
They draw, you handle the heat. It is a proper twenty minutes at the table with your child rather than something you hand over.
Not just paper
The pack works on different surfaces, so cards, gift tags and craft projects all become fair game.
Six colours, one small box
Red, pink, purple, blue, yellow and green. It costs little, wraps easily and fits in a party bag.
In the box
- 6 popcorn paint pens — red, pink, purple, blue, yellow and green
- Instructions on the pack, including how to heat the artwork

Questions about this set
Does the child handle the heat?
No. Drawing is theirs, heating is yours. The pack is recommended for age 5 and up with adult supervision for exactly this reason.
How do we heat it?
Follow the heating method printed on the pack and keep to the timing it gives. Under-heating leaves the paint flat; over-heating scorches the paper.
Does the puffy effect last?
Yes. Once it has cooled the raised texture sets, so finished pieces can go on the fridge or into a card.
What can they draw on?
The pack works on different surfaces. Paper and card are the easiest place to start — try a small test patch before anything precious.
How many pictures will six pens make?
Plenty, as long as they draw lines rather than fill whole pages. Thick outlines puff best and use the least paint.
Film the first time it puffs. You will want that reaction saved.
Safety: recommended for ages 5 and up with adult supervision. Heating must be done by an adult — the artwork will be hot, so let it cool before it is handled. Not suitable for children under 3 years.
