Rainbow Spinning Rainbow Stacker
Baby & toddler · First stacking toy
Let go of the ring and it spins all the way down.
The post is twisted, so a ring dropped on top does not just land — it turns as it falls, wobbles, and settles. Babies work out very quickly that they caused that, and then they want to do it again. And again. It is the simplest toy in the room and usually the one being played with.
What is going on while they play
Cause and effect, over and over
I did that, and it happened. Repeating it is how babies learn that their hands change the world, and this toy rewards them every single time.
Aim, grip, release
Lining a ring up over the post is real hand-eye work, and letting go at the right moment takes practice.
Size and colour, before words
Biggest to smallest is their first lesson in order and sequence. Say the colours as they stack and the words arrive with the rings.
Grows with them
Spinning rings down comes first. Stacking them in the right order comes months later, with the same toy.
In the box
- Weighted base with a spiral post
- Graduated stacking rings in rainbow colours

Questions about this toy
Does it tip over?
The base is wide and weighted, so it stays put while a ring is pushed on. On carpet it is steadier still.
Is it safe for a baby who mouths everything?
The rings are far too large to swallow and the edges are smooth and rounded. Chewing them is part of how babies investigate, and they wipe clean afterwards.
How do we clean it?
A damp cloth, then dry it off. Do not put it in the dishwasher or leave it soaking.
Will it hold their interest?
It changes as they grow. Knocking the rings off comes first, then spinning them down, then stacking them in size order — the same toy, three different games.
The kind of first-birthday gift that is still out on the floor a year later.
Safety: for use under adult supervision. Check the rings and post for damage before each play, and stop using the toy if any part cracks.
