Crack List Card Game
Card game · 2–8 players · Ages 10+
One category, your letter, and everyone answering at once.
Turn over a category, look at the letter on your card and shout something that fits both. If the category is animals and your card says T, tiger gets rid of it. Everyone plays at the same time, so nobody sits waiting for a turn, and the first player to get rid of all eight cards wins. Just as someone looks safe, an action card can turn the whole game around.
How to play
Pick a category. One category card is in play for everyone at the table.
Take eight letter cards. Your answer has to fit the category and start with the letter on your card.
Race to empty your hand. Say an answer, play the card and go again. Watch out for action cards. The first player with no cards left wins.
Why it works at a family gathering
Nobody waits for a turn
Everyone answers at once, so the game stays fast and loud, and even the quiet players end up shouting answers.
Explained in ten seconds
Category, letter, answer. Someone who has never played can join halfway through an evening and be in the game straight away.
The leader is never safe
Action cards can change things at any moment, so a player who is behind is never out of it. That keeps everyone playing to the last card.
Every age at one table
Answers come from everyday words, not trivia, so teenagers, parents and grandparents all have a fair chance of winning.

Questions about this game
How many people can play?
Two to eight. With two it is a quick duel, and with a full table it gets loud.
Can younger children play?
The box says 10 and up. Younger children who know their letters can play on a team with an adult.
Is it in English?
Yes. The cards are in English, and each answer has to start with the letter on your card.
How long does a game take?
About 30 minutes, according to the box. With fewer players it is often quicker, so there is usually time for a rematch.
It takes ten seconds to explain, and not much longer before someone gets stuck on the easiest letter in the pack.
Safety: contains small parts. Not suitable for children under 3 years.
